Blacklick Woods Metro Golf Course is

the New Home of Morty’s Kids!!!

Morty’s Kids is excited to announce the partnership with Blacklick Woods Metro Golf Course! We have finally reached our long term goal of finding a place to call home. Partnering with Blacklick Woods allows us to offer two days of golf per week and the opportunity to reach out beyond the 250 children we normally host per summer. Blacklick Woods features two challenging courses and is rated one of the top ten most difficult public golf courses in Greater Columbus by Business First magazine.

History of The Morton Foundation

Friends and associates of Robert J.G. Morton established the Morton Foundation in 1998. Its purpose is to enhance the golf experience for youngsters in Central Ohio.

The Foundation was named after Bob Morton, a retired bank executive who dedicated much of his life to the game of golf. He was recognized internationally as one of the most active proponents of the game. He personally worked continually to widen the appeal of golf. The Morton Foundation was established to continue and enhance his efforts.

Our Goal

Our goal is to provide children with the many life lessons that can be learned by participating in the game of golf. While the experience focuses primarily on golf, it will also include a range of opportunities from summer jobs at golf facilities to college scholarships. Any interested child now has an opportunity to learn about golf and experience the many benefits of the game.

 Our Mission

Our mission is to make the game of golf available to children, ages 7 to 18, by providing them with golf equipment, instruction from qualified PGA and LPGA professionals and the opportunity to actually play golf.

Special emphasis is placed on those who may not be able to play due to financial circumstances.
